Washington [US], April 1 (ANI): A darker, more dangerous world unfolds in the newly released 'Euphoria' season 3 trailer, with the hit series taking a bold leap into adulthood and high-stakes crime.
Dropped by HBO, the trailer offers a gripping first look at the HBO Max drama's return, set to premiere on April 12.
Marking a significant tonal shift, the upcoming season jumps forward five years, leaving behind the hallways of East Highland High for a gritty, 'film noir'-inspired narrative.
At the centre is Rue, played by Zendaya, whose storyline appears more perilous than ever. The trailer places her in Mexico, entangled with a drug cartel as she attempts to repay a looming debt to Laurie.
In one of the most intense moments, Rue is shown being interrogated by DEA agents and swallowing concealed drugs.
Meanwhile, the complex relationship between Cassie and Nate takes a dramatic turn. Cassie, portrayed by Sydney Sweeney, is seen walking down the aisle toward Nate, played by Jacob Elordi.
Despite their troubled past, the wedding appears anything but celebratory, with Cassie visibly distressed and Nate displaying a chilling composure.
The trailer also reveals Cassie's new career as an OnlyFans creator, an endeavour Nate openly disapproves of, while Maddy, played by Alexa Demie, now works at a Hollywood talent agency and supports Cassie's content production, as per Deadline.
Jules, played by Hunter Schafer, returns with a dual life, pursuing art school while secretly working as a sugar baby. Her unexpected encounter with Cal Jacobs at a bar adds another layer of tension.
Notably, the late Eric Dane makes his final appearance as Cal, having completed filming before his passing earlier this year.

Adding to the ensemble, Sharon Stone joins as a Warner Bros. executive mentoring Lexi, while new cast members include Rosalia, Natasha Lyonne, Danielle Deadwyler, and Marshawn Lynch.
The season also acknowledges the absence of key characters, addressing the death of Angus Cloud's Fezco, while confirming that Barbie Ferreira and Storm Reid will not return. (ANI)
