Washington DC [US], January 24 (ANI): Actors Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie, who became popular after starring in the queer hockey drama Heated Rivalry, have been chosen as torchbearers for the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
According to the publication, the news was shared by HBO Max on Thursday. The Olympic Torch Relay is one of the most special parts of the Games, carrying the Olympic flame across countries and cities before the opening ceremony.
Actors Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie were seen together in the queer hockey drama Heated Rivalry, which premiered on November 28 last year. Williams and Storrie play rival hockey players in the show. The series is based on books by Rachel Reid and follows the story of two professional players whose rivalry slowly turns into a relationship over several years. The show airs on Crave in Canada and on HBO Max in the U.S.
The two actors have been in the spotlight lately. Hudson Williams recently walked the runway at Milan Fashion Week for Dsquared2. Connor Storrie also appeared on popular U.S. shows like Late Night with Seth Meyers and Today, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Heated Rivalry has been renewed for a second season. HBO Max has confirmed that the new season will also stream on its platform. Author Rachel Reid has also announced a new book titled Unrivaled, which will continue the story of Shane and Ilya, the characters played by Williams and Storrie. (ANI)
