BEIJING, Nov. 26 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks closed mixed on Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.22 percent, at 3,369.73 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.41 percent lower at 13,599.99 points.
The combined turnover of stocks covered by the two indices shrank to 733.3 billion yuan (about 111.5 billion U.S. dollars) from 863.4 billion yuan the previous trading day.
Losers outnumbered gainers by 805 to 606 on the Shanghai bourse and 1,444 to 786 in Shenzhen.
Shares in oil and automobile sectors led the losses, with the share price of Liaoning SG Automotive Group Co., Ltd. dropping by the daily limit of 10 percent.
Stocks related to semiconductor, shipbuilding and military industry led the gains.
The ChiNext Index, tracking China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, lost 0.23 percent to close at 2,609.39 points.
